We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the Lye & Wollescote Historical Society who have provided over 1300 photographs in respect of the graves in Lye & Wollescote Cemetery. This project is ongoing and is an immense task - what has been achieved to date is phenomenal. We have added approximately 240 of the images to this page in respect of Lye & Wollescote Cemetery and will occasionally change some of the images. Please contact us if you believe your ancestor/s may be buried at the cemetery and the image does not appear on the aforementioned page and we will look through the photographs and information for you.

Please note that ALL photographs which appear on this page are copyright of Lye & Wollescote Historical Society.

A book is now available in respect of this Cemetery - please see below.

“The Lye & Wollescote Cemetery and Chapels: A Victorian Cemetery and its Notable Burials” has been 20 years in the making, through two generations of researchers and published now by the West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust with financial assistance from the ‘Awards for All’ scheme of the National Lottery; West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust members Jean Weston & Marlene Price are the authors. Sale proceeds will be used to support the Trust’s project to establish a secure future for the Lye & Wollescote Cemetery Chapels building.
